In a separate but related incident in the early hours of Saturday, the attackers targeted a civilian residence in the Umu Ossai clan of Igbo Eze North Local Government Area. Family sources narrate a harrowing tale: the kidnappers forcibly entered the home of Patrick Eze.
In a display of chilling audacity, the assailants reportedly demanded and consumed food within the residence before proceeding with their primary objective. They subsequently abducted Patrick Eze and his daughter, fleeing the area with their captives.

Their escape route is believed to have led toward the dense bushland that forms the border between Aguibeje in Enugu State and neighbouring Kogi State. This cross-border movement potentially complicates ongoing search and rescue efforts for the missing civilians.
